Jay selects Hole # 18: Likes to play his 200 yd club towards the left fairway trap/bunker. This takes the tree out of play and leaves a 150 yard shot to the center of green. Jay suggests keeping the ball below the hole.

Brian Ricketts

Assistant Professional

Mr. Ricketts has been with Friendly Hills Country Club since 2003.
Mr. Ricketts won the Long Beach Match Play in 1996 & 1998, was the lowest amateur in the Long Beach Open 1998 and in 1997 won the SCGA Mid-Amateur shortly after he turned professional.

Brian selects Hole # 11: He likes to play a 215-220 yd off the tee to keep the lake out of play. This usually leaves a 7-9 iron into the green. Often the wind is behind you, so club selection is important.

Kevin Price

Assistant Professional

Mr. Price has been at Friendly Hills Country Club since 2004 and has 5 years in the golf industry.

Kevin selects Hole # 3: He likes to play driver with a high fade leaving 110-100 yards or a short iron into the sloping rear to front green. Kevin plays one club more on the approach shot to take off the spin and goes for the pin. Par is good on this hole.
